Performing Engineering Operations (Renewable Energy) – Level 2

Units include:

• Producing Components using hand fitting techniques
• Mechanical Assemblies
• Maintaining Mechanical Devices and assemblies
• Maintaining Electrical Equipment/ systems
• Wiring and Testing Electrical Equipment and Circuits
• Assembling, wiring and testing electrical panels/components mounted in enclosures
• GWO Hydraulics
• GWO Mechanical
• GWO Electrical

September – June

You must have achieved at least a grade 3 (D) in GCSE English language, maths and science.

You will be assessed through observation (with appropriate witness testimony), short online testing and on-going assignments.

This qualification will provide you with a range of transferable skills so that you can progress onto a Level 3 Study Programme, an Apprenticeship or Employment.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

All full-time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job, progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
