Information for Applicants
Due to an increase in applications for our Electrical and Electronic, Instrumentation and Control, or Renewable Energy Engineering courses, competition for places is exceptionally high. We want to ensure you are fully informed about the next steps.
Applications for the above courses are required to be submitted by 25th January 2027. This can be done via an online application form on the TTE website or the Middlesbrough College website, or by a paper-version of our application form.
Paper-versions of our application forms can be found in the back of our School Leaver Guide, be collected from a member of our Schools Team when they visit secondary school, or when visiting an open event. You can also download and print the application form at home. This application form will need sent to the Freepost address at the bottom of the form, given to a member of our Schools Team or given to our Admissions Team during an Open Event.
The Recruitment Process
1. Application submission for course
Submissions for the Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or Renewable Energy courses need to be submitted by 25th January 2027.
Any applications submitted after the above date will be placed on a waiting list. Alternative course offerings can be found here.
2. Confirmation of offer
Places on the courses are conditional, and dependent upon confirmation of GCSE grades at enrolment.
3. Enrolment – from Thursday 19th August (GCSE Results Day)
Your appointment for enrolment will be sent out at the end of July via email and letter. It is important you attend your scheduled appointment slot!
