T Level – Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing (Control and Instrumentation) – Level 3

This qualification will help you gain an understanding of the wider engineering industry and the sector you choose to specialise in.

You will cover topics a range of topics, such as:

• Customer and client requirements
• Principles of design
• Design processes
• Communication in design

September – June

Five GCSEs at grade 5 (C) and above including maths, English language and science.

If you don’t have the entry requirements for our T Levels, don’t worry. Ask our team about the T Level foundation course.

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the Engineering industry, which will prepare learners to enter the industry through employment or as an Apprentice.

The completion of this qualification gives the learner the opportunity to progress onto higher education courses and training.

All Health and Safety PPE will be provided.

Our MC Click scheme provides full time students (ages 16-19) on a Level 1, 2 or 3 study programmes with a free loan laptop to assist with their studies. Laptops can be collected at enrolment. Click here for more information about MC Click.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

For Instrumentation and Control Engineering courses, you must submit your application by 26th January 2026 to be considered as part of the main recruitment process for TTE. You will also be required to complete an aptitude test.

Every T Level student will take on an industry placement for 45 days, helping you to gain valuable experience in the workplace and allowing employers to meet the new talent in their industry.
