Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering for England – Full Time – Level 4

You must have achieved an appropriate technician or craft qualification at Level 3 Diploma or similar and have a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.

The most common eligible qualifications include A Levels, BTEC Extended Diplomas/National Diplomas, Access to HE Diplomas and T Levels.

Non-standard applicants for both full and part time modes of study will be considered based on individual merit and industrial experience relevant to the programme

You will be assessed through a range of integrated assignments, case studies, projects and tests which are planned throughout the year.

After successfully completing this course, you can progress to a foundation degree in engineering or directly into the second year of an appropriate degree at University Centre Middlesbrough. A HNC award opens up the possibility of a career in a wide range of engineering disciplines including design, manufacturing, project management and IT.

Successful students may also choose to progress to the HND Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) qualification.
