Sponsoring An Apprentice
Engineering and Process Technicians now eligible for sponsorship.
Engineering and Process Technicians from the 2009 graduation have recently completed the “off-the-job” phase of their training and require sponsoring companies in order to progress to Advanced Apprenticeship and complete their Level 3 qualifications.
The Engineering and Process Technician Programmes have been developed to meet the needs of industry by developing highly skilled and competent crafts people for the future.
The first phase of training is delivered “off the job” at TTE’s training facility over a 1 or 2 year period, depending on the programme, with the remaining 2 years of an Advanced Apprenticeship spent “on site” with a sponsoring company whilst being monitored by TTE’s assessment team.
Before leaving the training centre, learners will have completed:
- Level 3 Technical certificate.
- Key skills at Level 2.
- NVQ Level 2 in either Engineering or Process.
- Generic Skills Training.
- Relevant Safety Training.
During the “off-the-job” training the learners will compile a personal profile, the personal profile comprises of evidence, which includes their attendance, punctuality, behaviour and attitude, as well as formal qualifications in their respective trade areas.
